Film: They Shall Not Grow Old
OSA donated $500 to Cadets
Between the first and second screening, OSA made a donation of $500 to the the Vernon Army Cadets #1705 to assist in their upcoming trip to Normandy for the 75th D-Day Anniversary.
An honour guard was present in the lobby thanks to Royal Canadian Legion Vernon Branch #25.
Active forces members, Legion members and Cadets in uniform or with ID card received discounted admission on this evening.
On September 24, 2018 we premiered a locally produced, ten minute documentary entitled The Happiness Tour prior to both of our regular Monday evening film screenings. The film’s director as well as the cast were in attendance on this special evening.
On Sunday March 4, 2018, we co-hosted (with the Vernon Towne Cinema) a Gala Evening featuring the live-streamed 90th Annual Academy Awards, wine/champagne bar, a red carpet, best-costume prizes, and more. Here are some photos from the event:
